01Why can I only log in with itch.io?

Every token launched through itchpad is tied to a real itch.io game, and we verify you own that game before letting you launch. itch.io login is the only way we can check that.

02What is prepared before launch?

itchpad prepares the token name, symbol, artwork, game description, and creator fee recipients. You can review these details before creating the token.

03Do I need to connect a wallet?

No external wallet connection is part of the launch flow. itchpad creates your custodial fee wallet automatically when you sign in.

04Who holds the private key to my itchpad wallet?

itchpad does, encrypted, and you can never export it. See our Privacy Policy and Risk Disclosure for the full custody model. See the next answer for how to get funds out.

05If I can't export the key, how do I get my money out?

Withdraw SOL from your itchpad wallet to any external address, any time, from your wallet page. The only limit is a small reserve the wallet keeps for its own future transaction fees.

06How do I earn from my launch?

95% of every pump.fun trading fee your token generates pays directly into your itchpad wallet, on-chain, with no signature required from you. Trigger a claim from the launch page to distribute any fees that have accrued.

07What do the numbers on the live launches page mean?

Price, market cap, liquidity, and 24h volume, pulled from GeckoTerminal's public API. We don't show a price chart, just current stats.

08What if the token launches but the fee-sharing setup fails?

This is rare but possible. The pump.fun token creation and the fee-sharing config are two separate on-chain steps. If creation succeeds but setup fails, we don't hide that: the launch page shows the token as live with a clear notice that setup needs manual follow-up, instead of silently marking the whole launch 'failed' when SOL was actually spent. This is logged and gets resolved manually. Fee claims aren't available until setup completes.

09Can itchpad see or move my wallets' funds?

Each wallet's key is only ever decrypted, in memory, to sign a specific transaction it's needed for (launching, fee distribution, or a withdrawal you requested). It is never used for anything else or without an action you took. See the Security section of the docs for the full custody model.

10Can someone launch a token for my game without asking me?

Yes. Anyone can paste your game's itch.io URL on the launch-by-url page and trigger a launch, with no login needed from them. They get nothing from it: your full 95% developer share is reserved and waits for you specifically. Nobody but you (via your itch.io login) can ever claim it.

11How do I claim a token someone else launched for my game?

Just log in with itch.io normally. If your username matches the game the anonymous launch was for, itchpad automatically detects it and sweeps the reserved fee share into your own itchpad wallet. There are no extra steps, no separate claim button to find.

12Does an anonymous launch mean itchpad thinks I approve of it?

No. itchpad does not verify or claim that an anonymous launch has the developer's consent. A live token existing for a game is not confirmation the developer knows about it, endorses it, or has claimed anything from it. See the risk disclosure.
